ℯNEWS March 3, 2023
We have had the most fantastic week with a splendid Poetry Competition. Mrs Woodcock, the Headteacher from Francis Holland North, spent a glorious two and a half hours judging the event. The quality and joy of the children’s poems was something truly special.
Bravo to the children who were highly commended from Junior One to Form Six. We will look forward to seeing all families at the Poetry Recital on 17 March at the Victory Services Club.
Senior Schools
Congratulations to our Year Six cohort who have now made their decisions on senior schools. Alexander will be heading off to Alleyns, Olimpia has accepted her scholarship to Queen’s College, Estella and Riddhi will both leave us to join St Paul’s Girls’ School, Hannah will be joining Queen's Gate and Hugo is very much looking forward to joining St Dunstan’s in September. Congratulations to the senior teachers who have prepared the children for these brilliant outcomes.
Thank you
Our thanks go to Mrs Tian for a wonderful donation of books to add to our new library in the Learning Hub.
Museum Trip(s)
The Junior classes had an exciting day today visiting the Natural History Museum. Junior One and Form One stepped back in time to discover what the dinosaurs were like. Meanwhile, Form Two went on a fact finding mission at the Creepy Crawly House! Later, they headed off to the Imax Theatre at the Science Museum to watch a 3D film about Antarctica. A great day was had by all.
Form Six Trip
On Monday Form Six will be heading off for a Junior Citizenship Scheme being run by TfL. The children will be meeting representatives from the Metropolitan Police, London Ambulance Service and the London Fire Brigade as part of a new initiative organised by the London Mayor’s office.
KPS
The 11+ journey now begins for Form Five pupils and parents as they start to consider senior schools. To this end KPS will host an Open Evening on Tuesday, 7 March 5-6pm. Please do contact the Head of Admissions, Mrs Marie Lovett, on admissions@kps.co.uk or call +44 (0)20 7616 4402 with any queries.
